| Dear
Friend, The United
Methodist Elder Care campus is home to 208 of our elderly sisters and brothers. As our
residents have aged in place, more and more of their life is spent within the Retirement
and Health Care Centers. With the conversion of 25 units to Assisted Living in our
Retirement Center, we affirm the commitment made over 25 years ago. We will work to
support our residents autonomy.
However, more and more personal and
social needs are met right in the Centers. This requires more common space - a different
kind of space. |
We
envision a small but intriguing new world; a therapeutic garden and sunroom. The
"Bring In The Sunshine Campaign" will give our residents a change of scenery
within reach; new views, textures, smells, and activities. Access to a fresh perspective recharges our
batteries whether we are 29 or 99. Whatever our age or situation, isnt
that something we need all through our lives?
Thank you for helping us make this
new world a reality for the elders in our care.
With Sincere Appreciation,
Ridgway F. Shinn, Jr.
