The future of Linn Health & Rehabilitation is at stake.

Help us care for those who need us most
Before we have to close the doors at our nursing home for good

As you know, Aldersbridge Communities, the parent organization of Linn Health & Rehabilitation, has been in existence for 52 years providing an affordable and reliable continuum of care for elders who need to go from independent to assisted living and then on to skilled nursing care.

The past few years have been tough financially for all nursing homes, especially independent, not-for-profit communities like Linn Health.
• Medicaid reimbursement rates haven’t kept pace with increasing expenses
• Utility costs have skyrocketed
• Food costs are higher than ever before due to inflation

Here is a news story that appeared on WJAR-TV/NBC about Linn Health:

• And we often have to pay exorbitant rates to temporary staffing agencies to supplement our skilled nursing staff roster

This is an unprecedented time in our organization’s history, and we need your help. Linn Health and Rehabilitation is an essential component of our continuum, and we don’t want to face a future without it, as so many residents and families rely on the staff at Linn for their quality healthcare and rehabilitation needs.

How did this happen, you ask?

As a not-for-profit nursing home, Linn Health & Rehabilitation has always been driven by our mission, not by profit. We’re more interested in the outcome of our residents’ health than the income. We don’t turn away people who need skilled nursing or long-term care just because we don’t get enough reimbursement from Medicaid.

It actually costs us money to care for those in our care. Linn Health’s current average Medicaid reimbursement rate is $255 per resident per day, and the actual cost is $411. The math alone tells the story.

Other nonprofit nursing homes have larger financial reserves and endowments than we do, but using that money is not a sustainable strategy. It’s no secret that Linn is in the same financial predicament as other nursing homes –
and treading water to survive.

We are running out of time to rely on the 2024/25 state budget to go into effect, and we refuse to entertain offers from out-of-state for-profit corporations that are circling around us like vultures. We don’t like to think of what happens when Linn’s operating cash reserves run out.

We need your help…..now. Before it’s too late.

This year, we’re funneling every dollar we raise on the financial needs of Linn Health & Rehabilitation. Because losing our nursing home is simply not an option that any of us want to see happen.

Now, more than ever, we need your financial support and generosity.

Won’t you consider a monetary gift at the most critical time in our organization’s history?
