Lisa Ballantyne, Director of Community Relations

United Methodist Elder Care is a not-for-profit continuing care community serving low to low-moderate income seniors. UMEC is incorporated as a 501(c)(3), and is mostly funded by state and federal dollars.

In 2007, the Health Care Center embarked on a journey called Culture Change. Culture Change is about developing resident-directed care practices; about creating homes/communities within a nursing facility. The culture change movement is about promoting household living environments in congregate settings where elders and direct care workers are able to express choice in meaningful ways. With your help this journey can continue and find success at United Methodist.

This journeys focus is on making our house a home. We hope this event will give us the means to focus on resident-devoted care practices and fully creating these communities.

Whether it is a cash donation, auction item, or the mere purchase of the tickets for the event, United Methodist will put the funds towards this journey in hopes of accomplishing it as soon as possible and as effectively as possible.
