Assisted Living Services and Related Charges
Assisted Living facilities are licensed and certified by regulatory agencies. The following summary describes the rules and regulations for Assisted Living facilities as they relate to the service plan and fee structure.
1. Food Services - All residents shall be offered three, balanced and varied meals each day.
2. Housekeeping - The facility shall maintain a comfortable, safe, clean, sanitary, and orderly environment; free of litter, rubbish and offensive odors.
3. Laundry Services - Each facility shall make provision for the cleaning of resident�s laundry and all other linens and washable goods either directly or through a suitable arrangement.
4. Personal Assistance - Assistance with personal care will be provided as necessary and shall consist of activities such as bathing, oral hygiene, grooming and appearance, shampooing, dressing, shaving, and escort service for limited periods. Nutrition and hydration status shall be monitored as required.
5. Nurse Review - A registered nurse shall visit the facility at least once every thirty days.
6. Medication and other services - Provided as necessary and according to established rules and regulations.
7. The development of a care plan for each resident is required to evaluate the level of service and fee structure on an individual basis.
