Affordable Assisted Living at
Winslow Gardens

A United Methodist Elder Care Community

Why Assisted Living? As we age, many of our needs and desires change but many remain the same. While we become frail and more physically dependent with age, we still value our privacy and independence. Assisted Living staff help you to accomplish basic tasks of daily living, and at the same time, maintain a private, homelike residence.

Where would I live? Four floors of Winslow Gardens are designed for Assisted Living. Private apartments contain a sitting/bedroom area, kitchenette, and full bath. Residents supply their own furniture and decorating touches.

What kind of help is available? The Assisted Living unit is staffed 24 hours a day, seven days a week to provide oversight care and emergency response. The plan of care for each resident is based on a consultation with the Assisted Living Administrator.

Your Service Plan may include:

Full meal plan
Housekeeping
Laundry
Emergency Response System
Ambulation assistance
Wake-up service
Personal hygiene assistance
Medication reminders
Medication administration
Nutrition and hydration monitoring
Transportation
Social Activities
An active, congenial, and caring community

How much will Assisted Living cost? The cost will depend on the size of your apartment and the services you require. Apartment rents include all utilities except telephone and cable service. The rental fee structure is in accord with US Department of Housing and Urban Development  guidelines.  Since the service plan is based on each individual’s needs and preferences, the Assisted Living fee will vary.

What is different about Assisted Living at United Methodist Elder Care? We offer a full spectrum of services. When you become a member of our community, you do so with the confidence that we can support your changing needs over the years. From fully independent retirement living to skilled nursing home care, our continuum of care allows you the freedom to decide how much help you need, when you need it, all within one elder care campus.

Who is eligible for this program? Any individual who is over the age of 62 or disabled, with an annual income within HUD guidelines may apply. We welcome you without regard to religion, race, or creed.

Will I be considered a full member of the Winslow Gardens community? Absolutely. Your participation in activities, recreation, and governance is encouraged.
