How You Can Help Us

Continue And Improve This Mission of
Compassionate Care And Affordable Living

A Brief Message From The Leadership Team

From The President

"Our relational covenant to the New England Conference of the United Methodist Church helps keep us focused on our reason for being; creating an environment of loving care.

We serve a fragile and marginalized population; 206 of the oldest of the aged.  51 % of residents in the independent living program are 85 to 104 years old!   Their lives are a wonderful gift to us and their care is a joy to be experienced."

Carol Shelton
President, Board of Trustees

From The Director

"United Methodist Elder Care is  a small, independent, charitable mission dedicated to affordable elder housing, supported independent living, quality health services, and compassionate end of life care.

Myriad external pressures -- changes in Medicare/Medicaid reimbursement, health care mergers, managed care contracts, pressures to limit care, a competitive industry ethos -- shape the environment we work in.

Will imposed efficiencies and financial pressures take a bite out of our ability to care for truly needy elders?  No, if we continue to receive your support, your charitable gifts will 'bridge the gap'.  You are the reason we can continue on as an elder care mission.  Thank You."

Karen C. Amado, NHA
Executive Director
